FEDERAL SKILLED TRADES PROGRAM
Under the Federal Skilled Trades Program, one is able to obtain Permanent Residency in Canada. The objective of the FTSC is to meet the demands of the booming Canadian workforce and there is a specific list of trades under which an applicant must qualify to fulfill these needs. The federal skilled trades program is a specific program which always targets people in specific occupation including:
- Industrial, electrical and construction trades
- Maintenance and equipment operation trades
- Supervisors and technical jobs in agriculture, natural resources and related production
- Supervisors and central utilities control operators for processing, manufacturing and utilities
- Chefs and cooks
- Butchers and bakers
The occupations for selected trade are identified through the National Occupational Classification (NOC) and are at Skill Level ‘B’. Applicant proposed to apply in above trades has to meet requirements.
